Organize Your Inventory Quickly

Basic Sorting

The fastest way to clean up a messy inventory is to use the automatic sorting feature.

1. Open your inventory (E by default)

2. Press R (or your configured Sorting Key)

3. All items will instantly rearrange into organized stacks

Items are grouped by type and consolidated, so multiple partial stacks of the same block or material merge together. This is especially useful after mining sessions when your inventory is scattered with ore, dirt, and stone.

Sorting Containers

You can also sort chests and other containers:

1. Open a chest or container

2. Press R while the container window is open

3. The contents will organize just like your inventory

This works on double chests, shulker boxes, and most storage blocks. It's perfect for tidying up your base storage without manually moving stacks around.
