Recover Items for an Offline Player

Scenario: Player Lost Items

If a player loses items due to a server issue, PvP death, or accident, you can restore them using Inv View Mod without needing the player to be online.

Steps to Restore Items

1. Use /view inv <playername> to open the offline player's inventory

2. Locate empty slots where you want to place the items

3. Drag the replacement items into their inventory

4. Close the GUI—changes save automatically

5. When the player logs in, they will find the items in their inventory

Alternative: Using Ender Chest

If their main inventory is full, use /view echest <playername> to place items in their ender chest instead. This is a good temporary holding area.

Tips

Keep a record of what you restore for accountability. If you need to give items to multiple players, this mod is much faster than using /give commands repeatedly. Always communicate with the player about what was restored.
