How do I open another player's inventory?
Use the command /view inv to open their inventory in a GUI. If the player is offline, you can still access their inventory data as long as their player file exists on the server.
Can I edit items in a player's inventory or just look?
You can fully manipulate their inventory—add items, remove items, move stacks around, and modify item properties just as if you were editing your own inventory.
What's the command to access someone's ender chest?
Use /view echest to open and edit their ender chest contents. This works for both online and offline players.
Does this mod work with backpack mods like Traveler's Backpack?
Yes, Inv View Mod supports modded inventory slots including Traveler's Backpack, CuriosApi, and Quark. You can view and edit items stored in these custom slots.
Can I use this mod on a single-player world?
This is a server-side mod, so it's designed for multiplayer servers. On single-player, you already have direct access to your own inventory and ender chest.
What happens if I try to view an inventory for a player that doesn't exist?
The command will fail and return an error message. Make sure you're using the exact player name (case-sensitive) and that the player has joined the server at least once.
