Create a starter inventory for new players

Setting up the configuration file

Locate the Initially Mod configuration file (typically a JSON file in your config folder). This file defines what items appear in each inventory slot when a player joins for the first time.

Adding items to slots

For each inventory slot you want to populate:

1. Identify the item's ID (e.g., minecraft:wooden_pickaxe)

2. Specify the slot number (0-26 for main inventory, 27-30 for armor slots)

3. Set the stack count if the item should appear in multiples

4. If the item has special properties (enchantments, custom names, durability), you'll need to include NBT data

Including NBT data

To add NBT tags to an item:

1. Hold the item in your hand

2. Run /data get entity @s SelectedItem

3. Copy the entire NBT output

4. Paste it into your configuration, removing the id and count fields (these are handled separately)

5. Save the configuration file

Reload or restart your server for changes to take effect. New players joining after this will receive the configured inventory.
