Infinity Mending Bows Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I put both Infinity and Mending on the same bow?
With this mod installed, you can combine Infinity and Mending enchantments just like any other enchantments—use an enchanting table, anvil, or enchanted books. The mod removes the vanilla restriction that normally prevents these two from existing together.
Do I need arrows in my inventory if my bow has Infinity?
No, Infinity lets you shoot infinite arrows without consuming any from your inventory, even with this mod. You still need at least one arrow to start shooting, but it won't be consumed.
What happens if my Infinity Mending bow takes damage?
The Mending enchantment will repair the bow using XP orbs you collect, just as it normally does. As long as you're gaining experience, your bow will stay at full durability indefinitely.
Can I use this mod with other bow enchantments like Power or Flame?
Yes, Infinity and Mending work alongside all other bow enchantments. You can stack Power, Flame, Punch, and other enchantments on your Infinity Mending bow normally.
Does this mod work in survival mode or only creative?
The mod works in both survival and creative modes. In survival, you'll need to obtain the enchantments through normal means like enchanting tables, fishing, or villager trading.
What if I combine Infinity and Mending on an anvil—does it cost extra levels?
Combining them on an anvil costs the same XP as combining any two enchanted items; the mod doesn't add extra penalties for using both enchantments together.
Will this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is lightweight and only removes a single enchantment restriction, so it should have no noticeable impact on performance.
Does this work on servers or only single-player?
This mod works on both single-player and multiplayer servers, as long as the server has the mod installed on both the server and client side.
Can I still get Infinity and Mending bows from loot chests or fishing?
Yes, if you find or fish an enchanted bow with one of these enchantments, the mod allows you to combine it with the other enchantment using an anvil or enchanting table.
What if I want to remove one of the enchantments later?
You can use a grindstone to remove either Infinity or Mending from your bow, just like removing any other enchantment. You'll recover some XP in the process.
