How to Build a Villager Trading Hall That Never Runs Out
Design for Repeat Visits
A trading hall built around Infinite Trading should prioritize easy access to each villager and their workstation. Place villagers in individual cells with a bed and a workstation, and leave a walkway so you can reach each one. Because trades never lock, you do not need restock timers or complex redstone to cycle workstations. You just need each villager to keep their profession and offers.
Assign Professions Carefully
Place the workstation you want next to an unemployed villager to assign the profession. If you want a specific trade, you may need to break and replace the workstation to re-roll the offers until you get what you want. Once you have the trade you like, leave the workstation in place so the villager keeps it. With Infinite Trading, that trade will remain available permanently, so there is no need to lock it in through trading.
Trade Efficiently
Bring a stock of the items villagers want to buy and a stock of emeralds for the items you want to buy. Move down the hall and trade with each villager in turn. Since nothing locks, you can empty your inventory into emeralds and then spend those emeralds on books, gear, and other goods in the same session. Keep a chest at the entrance for overflow and a bed nearby in case you want to trade through the night. This setup turns your villager hall into a reliable, unlimited source of whatever trades you have collected.
