Infinite Trading Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using Infinite Trading?
Just install the mod and trade with any villager as normal — there's nothing to configure or craft. The mod works automatically in the background, so any offer you use stays available instead of locking after a few trades.
Why do my villager trades never lock anymore?
That's the entire point of the mod: it removes the trade-locking behavior, so offers don't get crossed out after being used repeatedly. You can keep clicking the same trade and the villager will keep restocking it instantly.
Do I need to wait for villagers to restock?
No. With this mod, trades don't lock and don't need a restock cycle, so the offer is available again immediately after each trade. You can spam the same trade as fast as you can click.
Can I trade the same offer over and over without it turning off?
Yes — that's the core feature. Pick any offer, trade it as many times as you want, and it stays usable; you never have to switch trades or wait for a work cycle.
Does this work on villagers I've already traded with?
Yes. Existing villagers and their current offers are affected the same way as new ones, so you don't need to breed or replace anyone. Just walk up and start trading repeatedly.
Can I use this to farm emeralds infinitely?
Yes. Since offers never lock, any emerald-producing trade (like selling crops, sticks, or paper) can be repeated endlessly for a steady emerald supply. Pair it with a farm for the input item and you have an infinite emerald source.
Can I get unlimited enchanted books and gear from librarians and armorers?
Yes. Librarian book trades and tool/armor trades stay available, so you can buy the same enchantment or piece of gear repeatedly. This makes it easy to stock up on high-tier enchanted books or duplicate gear.
Does Infinite Trading affect villager leveling or professions?
No. Villagers still gain experience and level up through trades as usual, and professions work normally. The mod only changes the locking/restock behavior, not the leveling system.
Will this break my existing world or other villager mods?
It's a minimalistic mod that only touches trade-locking, so it generally plays fine with existing worlds. Other mods that overhaul villager trading or restocking may overlap with it, so test in a copy of your world if you use those.
Does Infinite Trading cause lag or performance problems?
No — it's a lightweight change to trade behavior with no ongoing tick cost, so it shouldn't affect performance even in large trading halls. If you build a massive hall, lag will come from the villagers themselves, not this mod.
