Prevent Impersonation Abuse on Your Server

Access Control

Impersonate Mod commands should be restricted to trusted players only, typically server operators and administrators.

1. Configure permission settings to limit who can use impersonation commands

2. Restrict access to operators or a specific permission group

3. Consider disabling the feature entirely for regular players if your server doesn't need it

Monitoring and Accountability

The mod's built-in logging system is your primary defense against abuse. Server logs always record the actual player performing actions, even while impersonating someone else. This means:

  • Moderators can investigate any suspicious activity
  • The true identity behind impersonation is never hidden from logs
  • You can trace griefing, theft, or harassment back to the real culprit

Regularly review logs if impersonation is enabled, and communicate clear rules to your community about acceptable use.
