How do I impersonate another player?
Use the impersonate command with the target player's name. Once active, your nameplate, skin, and chat messages will all appear as if you're that player until you stop impersonating them.
Will the impersonated player know I'm pretending to be them?
Not automatically, but server logs will always record the true identity of who performed actions, so server operators can see through the impersonation. The impersonated player's pets will also still recognize the real you.
Can I impersonate multiple players at once?
No, you can only impersonate one player at a time. You'll need to stop impersonating the current player before assuming another identity.
Does impersonation work on vanilla servers?
Yes, the mod works serverside and is compatible with vanilla clients, though installing it on your client is still recommended for the best experience and for server operators managing the feature.
Will impersonation fool anti-cheat plugins?
Anti-cheat systems may behave unpredictably with impersonation active since you're appearing as a different player. Test carefully on servers with strict anti-cheat before using impersonation in survival or competitive modes.
Can I impersonate a player who's offline?
Yes, you can impersonate any player by name, whether they're currently online or not.
How do I stop impersonating someone?
Use the stop impersonation command to return to your normal identity, nameplate, and skin.
What happens to my inventory when I impersonate someone?
Your inventory remains yours—only your appearance, name, and chat identity change. This is why impersonation won't fool the impersonated player's pets, which recognize the real player.
How can server admins prevent impersonation abuse?
Restrict impersonation permissions to trusted players, monitor server logs for suspicious impersonation activity, and consider disabling the feature entirely on competitive servers where it could cause problems.
Does impersonation affect my UUID or player data?
No, your UUID and player data remain unchanged—only your visible identity and chat output are affected. Server logs will always show your real UUID and identity.
