Troubleshooting ImmersiveMC Interactions That Won't Register
Check Server and Client Sides
ImmersiveMC must be present on both the server and the client. If you installed it only on your client, block interactions will fall back to normal GUIs or fail entirely. Confirm the mod is loaded on both ends, and that everyone connecting to a multiplayer world has it too, since it is not client-side only.
Aiming and Slot Alignment
Most failed interactions come down to aim. The mod uses physical slot positions on the block, so your crosshair or VR hand must line up with the exact cell you want. Step closer or farther until the target slot highlights, then interact. Small hitboxes mean a slight offset can send your item to the wrong slot or nowhere at all.
VR-Specific Fixes
In VR, make sure your VR API dependency is installed and working; without it, hand interactions will not function. Recalibrate your controllers if your hands drift from where they appear. If grabbing feels unreliable, try approaching the block from a different angle so your hand clearly enters the slot volume.
General Steps
- Reload the world after changing mod configuration.
- Test on a singleplayer world first to isolate server issues.
- Verify no conflicting mod is overriding block interaction.
- If only some stations fail, note which ones and recheck your aim on those specific slot layouts.
