How to Show Your Coordinates in Immersive Overlays
The Compass Is the Key
Immersive Overlays does not show coordinates by default. The overlay only appears while a compass is somewhere in your inventory, so the first step is simply to obtain one and keep it on you.
1. Craft or otherwise acquire a compass.
2. Place it anywhere in your inventory — it does not need to be in your hotbar or your offhand.
3. Look at your screen. A coordinate readout should now render in the corner as an in-world overlay rather than a chat message or a debug screen.
If Nothing Appears
If you already carry a compass and still see no numbers, check these in order:
- Confirm the compass is actually in your inventory and not in a chest, shulker box, or dropped on the ground.
- Open the mod's config screen and make sure the coordinate overlay is enabled and not hidden.
- Check whether the overlay is positioned off-screen or behind another HUD element; move it in the config if needed.
- Some mods and resource packs alter HUD rendering. Temporarily disabling other HUD mods will tell you whether something is covering the overlay.
Once it works, the readout updates continuously as you walk, so you can navigate without ever opening the debug screen.
