How to See Y-Level and Weather with Supported Tools
Extra Info Comes from Extra Tools
Beyond the basic compass and clock overlays, Immersive Overlays can surface additional information such as your Y-level and current weather. These extra readouts are gated behind carrying the appropriate supported tool, so the overlay grows as your toolkit does.
1. Identify which tool the mod associates with the extra readout you want. The mod's config lists the tool-to-overlay mappings, and it also integrates with other mods that add their own tools.
2. Craft or obtain that tool.
3. Carry it in your inventory alongside your compass and clock.
4. Watch the overlay — the new line of information appears automatically once the tool is present.
Why Y-Level Matters
Y-level is the single most useful number when mining. It tells you whether you are in the range where a given ore generates, whether you are above or below lava lakes, and whether you have wandered upward while branch mining. Having it on screen without opening the debug screen keeps you oriented during long mining sessions.
Weather at a Glance
Weather readouts are handy when you are underground and cannot see the sky, or when you are planning a trip and want to know if rain is active. Because the overlay is driven by carried items, you can deliberately leave a tool behind to declutter your screen.
