Immersive Bucket Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need to do anything to enable the 3D buckets or do they work automatically?
The 3D buckets work automatically once the resource pack is applied to your world or server—no configuration needed. Simply load the pack in your resource pack folder and select it in your world settings.
Will the 3D bucket models work if I'm using other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but placement order matters. Place the Immersive Bucket Resource Pack above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list so its textures take priority.
Do the 3D buckets show up the same way for other players on a server?
Only if those players also have the resource pack installed on their client. Resource packs are client-side, so each player needs their own copy to see the 3D models.
Can I see the 3D bucket detail when it's in my inventory, or only when holding it?
The 3D models are most visible when you're holding the bucket in your hand; the inventory view uses a flatter representation to keep the UI readable.
Does this pack change how buckets work mechanically, or is it just visuals?
It's purely visual—buckets function exactly the same way as vanilla. Filling, emptying, and using buckets with mobs or liquids works identically.
What happens if I use a bucket with a liquid or mob the pack doesn't have a model for?
The bucket will fall back to a default 3D bucket model rather than showing nothing, so you'll still see an improvement over flat vanilla textures.
Will using this pack cause lag or performance issues?
The 3D models are optimized and shouldn't cause noticeable performance loss on most systems, though very old hardware might see a minor impact.
Can I use this pack with Optifine or other graphics mods?
Yes, the pack is compatible with Optifine and similar graphics mods. Your graphics settings won't interfere with the bucket models.
Do the 3D buckets look different depending on what's inside them?
Yes—each filled bucket (water, lava, milk, powder snow, fish, tadpoles, axolotls) has its own unique 3D model that reflects its contents.
If I remove the pack, will my world be affected or will buckets go back to normal?
Removing the pack is completely safe; buckets will simply revert to vanilla flat textures and function normally without any data loss.
