How to Make Large Multi-Map Wall Art with Image2Map
Understanding map size
A single in-game map is 128×128 pixels. To display a bigger picture you split it across multiple maps arranged in a grid. Image2Map handles this when you give it width and height values larger than one map.
Choosing dimensions
Use the full create command:
/image2map create <WIDTH> <HEIGHT> <dither/none> <URL>
Set width and height in pixels. A 2×2 arrangement means roughly 256×256, a 3×3 means roughly 384×384, and so on. The mod divides the image into the matching number of maps. Larger grids mean more maps to place and more item frames, so plan your wall space first.
Assembling the display
After the command runs you receive the set of maps. Place item frames on a flat wall in a grid matching your chosen dimensions. Insert each map into its frame in the correct position — order matters, so keep track of which map goes where. Once all frames are filled, the separate maps line up into one continuous picture.
Tips
Preview the image first with /image2map preview <URL> and try /dither <dither/none> to pick the best look before generating the full set. Flat walls and consistent frame spacing keep the seams between maps from breaking the illusion.
