Troubleshooting: Still Getting 'Moved Too Quickly' After Installing

First, confirm the mod is the one running

The mod only removes the vanilla movement restrictions. If you still see the message, something else is enforcing limits. Check in this order:

1. Is the mod on the right side? It must be on the server. A client-only install won't stop server-side kicks.

2. Did the server restart? Mixins load at startup; a hot reload won't apply them.

3. Is another mod or plugin also checking movement? Anticheats, permission plugins, and other movement mods run their own checks and will still kick you.

Narrowing it down

  • Test with a vanilla client on your server. If vanilla still gets kicked, the mod isn't active or something else is blocking.
  • Temporarily disable other movement-related mods and plugins, then re-test. If the kicks stop, one of them was the culprit.
  • Check the server log for errors during mod loading. A failed mixin application means the mod isn't actually patching anything.
  • Distinguish a kick from rubber-banding. A kick disconnects you with a message; rubber-banding teleports you back but keeps you connected. They have different causes.

If it's genuinely the mod

Make sure you're not running a conflicting fork or an outdated build for your game version. Version mismatches are a common reason mixins silently fail to apply.
