I’m Fast Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know I'm Fast Mod is actually working?
Try moving faster than vanilla allows, such as with a speed effect or a fast vehicle mod. If you no longer get kicked or rubber-banded back, the mod is active. If you still get 'moved too quickly' messages, check the troubleshooting guide.
Do I need to install I'm Fast Mod on the client too?
No. It's a server-side mod, so only the server needs it. Clients can join with a completely vanilla install and still benefit from the removed movement restrictions.
Will this mod work in singleplayer?
In singleplayer the integrated server applies the same movement checks, so the mod can still help if you're using high-speed mods or commands. Install it like any other mod and the restrictions are lifted in your local world too.
Why am I still getting kicked for moving too quickly after installing it?
Common causes are the mod not actually loading on the server, another plugin or anticheat enforcing its own speed limits, or the server not being restarted after adding the mod. Check your server log to confirm the mod initialized.
Does I'm Fast Mod remove all movement checks or just the speed ones?
It targets the 'moved too quickly' and 'moved wrongly' server-side restrictions. Other checks like anticheat plugins or flight detection are separate and not affected by this mod.
Can I use this with an anticheat plugin like Spartan or AAC?
Anticheat plugins run their own movement checks independent of vanilla's, so they may still flag or punish fast movement. You'll need to configure those plugins separately or whitelist the relevant players.
Will this break other players' games or cause desync?
It removes the server's rejection of fast movement, so other players may see you teleport or move erratically at very high speeds. That's a visual side effect of unrestricted movement, not a crash or corruption risk.
Does it work with mods that add fast vehicles or speed boosts?
Yes, that's one of its main uses. High-speed mods and vehicles that normally trigger rubber-banding will move smoothly once the server stops rejecting the position updates.
Is there a config file or command to adjust how fast I can go?
The mod's purpose is to remove the restriction entirely rather than set a new limit, so there's typically nothing to tune. If you need a cap, that's handled by whatever speed mod or plugin you're using.
Does I'm Fast Mod hurt server performance?
It only skips a movement validation check, so the performance impact is negligible. Any lag you see is more likely from the high-speed mods or vehicles you're now able to use.
