Making High-Speed Mods and Vehicles Actually Work Without Rubber-Banding

Why you rubber-band

Rubber-banding happens when the server rejects your reported position and snaps you back to the last one it accepted. Speed-focused mods, fast mounts, boosted elytra, and long-distance dashes all trip the vanilla movement threshold. I'm Fast Mod removes that threshold so the server accepts the positions your client sends.

Steps to a smooth fast setup

1. Confirm the mod is loaded on the server side. If you run a dedicated server, it goes in the server's mods folder.

2. Remove or disable any *other* mod or plugin that also enforces movement limits, because two systems fighting each other will still cause snapping.

3. Test incrementally: start at a modest speed boost, confirm no snapping, then increase. This tells you whether a remaining problem is the mod or the speed source itself.

4. Watch for chunk-loading lag rather than movement rejection. At very high speeds you can outrun chunk generation, which looks like stuttering but is a performance issue, not a movement check.

5. If you use vehicles or mounts, test mounting and dismounting at speed — some movement code paths are separate from player walking.

When it still snaps

If snapping persists, the cause is usually an anticheat, a permission plugin, or a client-side prediction mismatch. The mod only removes the vanilla "moved too quickly/wrongly" restrictions, not third-party enforcement.
