How to Make Raids Feel More Cinematic and Immersive
Set the Scene Before Triggering
Since the mod adds a soundtrack, get the most out of it by preparing the environment. Trigger the raid at night or during rain for darker lighting and better atmosphere. Position yourself so you can see the village from a distance when the first wave spawns, letting the music build as raiders approach from multiple sides. Turn your Music slider up and lower other sliders so the raid track stands out.
Combine With Visual and Audio Tweaks
- Use a shader pack or lighting mod to add fog, torch flicker, or darker shadows during the fight.
- Enable subtitles in Options > Accessibility so you can read sound cues even when the music is loud.
- Avoid other mods that constantly play their own music, as they will cut into the raid theme.
- Fight on foot rather than from a flying mount so you stay in the middle of the action and hear the track throughout all waves.
Let the raid run its full course instead of killing raiders instantly; the soundtrack is timed to the event, so a longer fight gives you the full cinematic experience. Finish the raid to earn Hero of the Village while the music plays out.
