Each of the fifteen horse breeds has a distinct silhouette and coat pattern. Draft breeds like Shires and Clydesdales appear noticeably larger and more muscular, while smaller breeds like Haflingers and Icelandics have compact frames. Spotted breeds such as Appaloosas and American Paints display unique markings that make them instantly recognizable.

Checking Your Horse

Tame a wild horse by feeding it apples until hearts appear. Once tamed, observe its body shape and coat texture. Compare it against the breed list: heavy draft horses, riding and sport breeds, or smaller and unique breeds. The mod doesn't change horse stats or behavior—only appearance—so any horse functions identically in gameplay regardless of breed.

Breeding for Specific Looks

Breed two tamed horses together using golden apples or golden carrots. The foal will inherit a breed appearance and receive a custom foal model scaled to match its parents' type. This lets you build herds with consistent aesthetics. Since vanilla mechanics remain unchanged, breeding success rates and timing work exactly as normal Minecraft horses.
