Understanding Breed-Specific Fitting

The resource pack automatically resizes saddles and horse armor to match each breed's unique body proportions. A saddle on a massive Shire will sit differently than on a compact Haflinger—the pack handles this visually without requiring different items.

Applying Tack

Equip saddles and armor through the horse's inventory screen exactly as you would with vanilla horses. Right-click a tamed horse, then place leather saddles, iron armor, gold armor, or diamond armor in the appropriate slots. The gear will instantly conform to that breed's shape and size.

Visual Confirmation

Once equipped, your horse's custom armor and saddle will display properly fitted to its frame. Heavy draft horses show bulkier, more robust gear, while riding breeds display sleeker, more refined tack. This is purely visual—armor protection values and saddle functionality remain unchanged from vanilla Minecraft.
