Fixing Icon Xaero's Resource Pack Not Changing Map Icons

First Checks Before Troubleshooting

Confirm the pack is in the resourcepacks folder and enabled under Options → Resource Packs. A pack that is listed but not moved to the active column does nothing. After enabling, fully reload the game rather than just closing the menu, since map textures are loaded at startup.

Resolving Conflicts With Other Packs

If you run multiple packs that touch map or GUI textures, the one higher in the list wins. Drag Icon Xaero's Resource Pack to the top of the active list and reload. If you use a shader or UI overhaul pack, test with only Icon Xaero's Resource Pack enabled to isolate whether another pack is overwriting the icons.

When the Pack Is Working but Icons Look Wrong

Some markers may still use default art because Xaero's has its own icon-style setting that can override resource pack textures. Open Xaero's map settings and reset the icon or marker style to default. Also check that you are viewing the correct map — minimap and world map can have separate display options. If only mod-specific icons are missing, that usually means the corresponding mod is not installed or has not generated those markers in your world yet.
