Enable Glowing Effects on Your Dragonsteel Weapons
Requirements
Glowing effects on dragonsteel items require a shader or graphics mod that supports emissive textures. Optifine is the most common choice, but other mods like Sodium with Iris shaders also work.
Steps to Enable Glowing
1. Install your shader mod — Download and install Optifine or your preferred shader solution according to its documentation.
2. Launch Minecraft with the shader mod active and this resource pack loaded.
3. Equip dragonsteel gear — Hold a dragonsteel sword, axe, or wear dragonsteel armor in your hotbar or equipment slots.
4. Observe the glow — The elemental details (fire, ice, or lightning effects) on your weapons and armor should now emit light, especially visible in darker areas or at night.
5. Adjust shader settings — If glowing seems too dim or too bright, check your shader mod's settings menu for emissive or glow intensity options.
Troubleshooting
If you don't see glowing effects:
- Confirm the resource pack is active (check your resource pack list in settings)
- Verify your shader mod is properly installed
- Try switching to a different shader or Optifine profile
- Ensure you're holding the correct dragonsteel items, not regular dragon gear
