Prevent Entities from Disappearing in Singleplayer

The Tracking Distance Problem

In vanilla Minecraft, entities despawn or stop updating when they fall outside the server's tracking distance, even if your render distance is higher. This creates frustrating situations where you can see a mob but it doesn't move or respond.

How the Mod Solves This

I See You Over There automatically synchronizes your server-side tracking distance with your render distance in singleplayer worlds. This means:

  • Entities remain active and responsive as long as they're visible on screen
  • Mobs continue moving and behaving naturally at distance
  • No more "frozen" entities at the edge of your view

What You Need to Know

  • This automatic adjustment only works in singleplayer
  • Multiplayer servers have their own tracking settings controlled by administrators—the mod respects server rules
  • If you're on a multiplayer server, ask your admin to increase tracking distance if entities disappear too quickly
  • The feature requires no configuration; it works automatically once installed
