Increase Entity Render Distance for Better Visibility
Understanding Entity Render Distance
By default, Minecraft only renders entities (mobs, players, animals) within a limited distance. I See You Over There Mod extends this range, letting you spot distant mobs and players much earlier.
How to Configure
1. Open your mod configuration menu (usually accessible from the main menu or in-game settings, depending on your mod loader)
2. Locate the I See You Over There settings
3. Adjust the entity render distance slider to your preferred value
4. Higher values show entities from further away, but may impact performance on lower-end systems
5. Apply and restart your world if needed
Tips for Best Results
- Start with a moderate increase and adjust based on your frame rate
- In singleplayer, the mod automatically adjusts server-side tracking to match your render distance, so entities won't despawn unexpectedly
- If you notice lag, reduce the value slightly—the performance impact scales with distance
- Test in different environments (open plains vs. dense forests) to find your optimal setting
