How do I turn on Hunger Strike for myself?
Use the command `/hungerstrike add @s` to enable it for your player. If you're in LIST mode (the default), you'll need to run this command each time you join, or ask an admin to add you permanently.
Why can't I sprint even though I have Hunger Strike enabled?
Sprinting requires your hunger bar to be above half capacity. Hunger Strike locks it at exactly half, which is the minimum threshold—you should be able to sprint. If you can't, check that the mod is actually enabled for you with `/hungerstrike list`.
I'm eating food but my health isn't going up. What's wrong?
Health only regenerates when you eat food while Hunger Strike is active. Make sure the mod is enabled for your player and you're actually consuming the food (not just holding it). Also confirm you're not at full health already.
Does Hunger Strike work in Creative mode?
No, Hunger Strike only affects Survival mode. In Creative mode, the mod has no effect since you already have unlimited resources and flight.
What happens if I get the Hunger effect potion while using this mod?
The Hunger effect will temporarily drop your hunger bar below the sprint threshold, preventing you from sprinting until the effect wears off, even though you're not actually starving.
Can I see my actual hunger level if I enable it in the config?
Yes, set the config option to display the hunger status bar and it will show on your screen, though it will always remain fixed at half capacity during gameplay.
Does this mod affect other players on my server?
Only if you add them with the `/hungerstrike add` command or if the server is set to ALL mode. In LIST mode (default), each player must be added individually.
Why do I still need to eat food if there's no hunger?
Food is now purely for restoring health instead of managing hunger. Eating is still necessary because health doesn't regenerate naturally—you must consume food to heal.
What does the Regeneration effect do with this mod?
The Regeneration effect will max out your hunger bar to full capacity. This doesn't affect your actual health regeneration, which still depends on eating food.
Can I disable Hunger Strike for a specific player?
Yes, use the command `/hungerstrike remove ` to disable it for that player. You can also check who has it enabled with `/hungerstrike list`.
