Human Era Vanilla Military Model FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why don't my weapons look like guns when I hold a bow?
Make sure the resource pack is activated in your Resource Packs menu—it won't apply automatically after placing it in the folder. Also check that you're on a compatible version between 1.13 and 1.21.11.
How do I see which firearm each bow transforms into?
Hold different bows and look at the model in your hand or in third-person view to see the transformation. The guide 'Identify Which Bow Transforms Into Which Firearm' lists the specific mappings for each weapon variant.
Do the reload animations play automatically or do I need to do something?
Draw back your bow as you normally would—the pulling and reloading animations trigger automatically as part of the draw sequence. For full character movement effects, combine this pack with Fresh Animations in your game settings.
Can I see the military scope model when I use a spyglass?
Yes, equip a spyglass and the custom handheld military scope model will appear in both first-person and third-person view. Refer to the guide 'View Your Military Scope in First-Person and Third-Person' for details.
Does this mod change how weapons actually work or just how they look?
This is a resource pack that only changes visuals and animations—it doesn't alter game balance or weapon mechanics. Bows still function as bows, crossbows as crossbows, and damage values remain unchanged.
Will this pack work with other resource packs at the same time?
You can stack multiple packs, but if another pack also modifies weapons or textures, they may conflict. Place this pack higher in your Resource Packs menu to prioritize its models over others.
Why are the weapon animations choppy or not showing up?
Enable Fresh Animations in your game settings to see full character and weapon movement effects. If animations still don't appear smooth, check that your Minecraft version matches the pack's requirements (1.13–1.21.11).
Can I use upgraded firearm variants like the Greaser or Luger?
Yes, the pack includes upgraded variants of several firearms. Hold different bow types during combat to test which variant appears, or check the 'Switch Between Different Firearm Models While Holding a Bow' guide.
Does this pack work in multiplayer or only single-player?
Resource packs are client-side, so they work in both single-player and multiplayer—only you see the military models on your screen. Other players won't see your custom weapons unless they also have the pack installed.
What do I do if the pack doesn't show up in my Resource Packs menu?
Verify you placed the pack file directly in your resourcepacks folder (not in a subfolder), then restart Minecraft. If it still doesn't appear, check that the file isn't corrupted and that you're using a compatible version.
