Plant and Defuse the Spike Effectively

Planting the Spike

As an attacker, your objective is to plant the Spike in either site A or site B. Navigate to your designated plant zone and interact with it during the buy phase window. A real-time progress bar displays planting status. Defenders can interrupt you, so secure the site first or plant during a distraction.

Defusing the Spike

Defenders must defuse the planted Spike before it detonates. Stand near the Spike and begin the defuse action—another progress bar shows defuse completion. You can be interrupted by attacker fire, so coordinate with teammates to suppress enemy positions while defusing.

Economy Impact

Successfully planting or defusing the Spike grants credits and ultimate charge to involved players. This reward encourages aggressive objective play beyond simple eliminations.

Item Dropping

If you die while holding the Spike, it drops at your location. Teammates can retrieve it and continue the plant attempt. Enemies can also pick it up and deny the plant, creating dynamic round moments.
