Using Horsing Around Alongside Other Mods Without Conflicts
Horsing Around is a small quality-of-life mod, but its two features touch systems that other mods also modify: the HUD and animal teleportation. Here is how to keep everything working together.
HUD Conflicts
The hunger-bar-while-mounted feature draws to the HUD. If you run a HUD overhaul mod, you may see two hunger bars or overlapping elements while riding.
- Open your HUD mod's config and reposition or hide its hunger element while mounted if it supports that.
- If overlap persists, check whether your HUD mod has a "hide while riding" toggle.
Teleport Conflicts
Several mods add pet teleportation. If another mod also binds a teleport key, your linked animals may not respond to the key you expect.
1. Go to Options → Controls and search for the Horsing Around keybind.
2. Reassign it to a key not used by your other pet or teleport mods.
3. Test in a safe area before relying on it in combat.
Loader Notes
The mod ships for both Forge and NeoForge, so match the build to your loader. Do not install both loader variants at once. If animals fail to link, confirm the mod loaded correctly and that you are feeding a genuinely tamed animal — untamed ones will not bind.
