Verify the Data Pack is Working in Your World
Check Your World Settings
When creating a new world with Big Globe installed, the Horizon Relief Data Pack should be automatically applied if you've installed it correctly. To confirm it's active:
1. Start a new world with Big Globe terrain generation enabled
2. Fly or travel to different biomes and elevations
3. Look at your skyline and distant terrain—you should see open, unobstructed views without massive dark stone structures
4. Open your world's data pack folder and verify the data pack file is present
Performance Check
If the data pack is working, you'll notice:
- Chunk generation feels noticeably faster when exploring new terrain
- Your frame rate remains more stable during world loading
- The CPU usage spikes are reduced compared to worlds without the data pack
If you still see large Obelisk structures generating, the data pack may not be loaded. Reinstall it and create a fresh world to test. Existing worlds won't be affected retroactively—only newly generated chunks will respect the data pack's changes.
