How to Till and Un-till a Large Area with a Hoe
Tilling a wide area
Hold your hoe and right-click a dirt or grass block as usual. With the Hoe Tweaks Mod installed, the hoe now tills an area around the targeted block instead of just one block. The size of that area depends on the hoe's tier: a wooden or stone hoe covers a small square, while higher tiers like iron, gold, diamond, and netherite cover progressively larger squares. By default you must be crouching to activate the increased range, so sneak (hold your crouch key) before you right-click if you want the full area.
Un-tilling soil
To reverse the process, right-click an already-tilled farmland block. The mod will convert it back to dirt, which is handy when you misplace farmland or want to reshape a farm. By default this only works when your other hand is empty, so put away any off-hand item first. If you have onlyUntillWithOtherHandEmpty disabled in the config, an off-hand item won't block un-tilling.
Durability cost
Every extra block tilled beyond the first one costs durability on the hoe. The Unbreaking enchantment reduces how often that durability is actually consumed, so an Unbreaking hoe lasts much longer when clearing large fields. Keep an eye on the durability bar when tilling big areas.
