Hoe Not Working on Cactus?

If your hoe isn't breaking cacti quickly, verify the data pack is properly installed and active.

Checklist

1. Confirm the data pack is loaded – check your world settings or /datapack list

2. Use any hoe type – wood, stone, iron, diamond, or netherite all work

3. Ensure you're in survival mode – creative mode has different block-breaking mechanics

4. Check for conflicting mods or packs – other data packs might override this one

Common Issues

• Hoe breaks too slowly – this is normal for low-tier hoes; upgrade to iron or higher
• Cactus still damages you – cacti always deal contact damage; stand to the side when harvesting
• Drops disappear – make sure you're close enough to collect them before they despawn

If Problems Persist

Reload your world or restart your game. If the data pack still isn't working, disable and re-enable it, or reinstall it fresh. Ensure no other active data packs are conflicting with the hoe mineable tag.
