Highlighted Netherite Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Does the blue highlight work on Ancient Debris that's already exposed or only new blocks I mine?
The pack applies to all Ancient Debris blocks in your world, whether newly mined or already visible. You'll see the blue color immediately when you load the pack, even in previously explored areas.
Will the blue Ancient Debris show up through stone and other blocks while I'm mining?
No, you can only see the blue block when it's exposed or when you've cleared away the surrounding Netherrack. The highlight helps you spot it once it's visible, but doesn't give you X-ray vision through solid blocks.
Does this pack change anything else in the Nether besides Ancient Debris?
No, the pack only modifies the appearance of Ancient Debris blocks. All other Nether blocks, mobs, and items remain unchanged.
Can I use this pack with other resource packs at the same time?
Yes, but resource pack load order matters. Place this pack lower in your load order if you want its blue Ancient Debris to override other packs' textures for that block.
Does the blue color look the same brightness in caves versus open Nether areas?
The blue block will appear darker in shadowed areas and brighter in well-lit spaces, just like any other block. It still contrasts well against red Netherrack in both conditions, but you may spot it more easily in brighter areas.
Will using this pack affect my FPS or cause lag?
No, resource packs have minimal performance impact. This pack only changes textures and doesn't add any new blocks or complex rendering effects.
Does the pack work in the Nether on multiplayer servers?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so the blue highlight appears for you regardless of whether the server has the pack installed. Other players won't see the blue color unless they also have the pack.
Can I still tell if Ancient Debris is touching lava with the blue highlight?
Yes, the blue block will still be visible even when adjacent to lava, and the contrast actually makes it easier to spot in those situations compared to the original brown color.
Does the blue Ancient Debris look different when it's in your inventory versus placed in the world?
The pack only changes the block texture as it appears in the world. The item in your inventory may still show the original appearance depending on how the pack is configured.
What should I do if the blue color looks too bright or too dark for me?
Resource packs themselves don't have brightness settings, but you can adjust your game's brightness slider in Video Settings to change how the blue block appears overall.
