Does Highlight Mod change where a player can actually hit a block?

No, it is a client-only operation that only changes the visual selection box, so the block must still be within a normal hit box.

What are the two ways to bind a highlight to a block?

You can bind a highlight through code by using the Highlightable interface on your block, or through the json API.

Who can use the json API to change a hit box?

Non mod authors can use the json API to change a hit box based on a new model for a block.

Where are highlight jsons stored?

Highlights are a client asset stored in your assets folder under the namespace resourcefullib/highlights.

What does a highlight json contain?

A highlight json contains a list of lines, where each line is an array of 6 floats representing two points.

How does a highlight json relate to blockstate and model jsons?

A highlight json is either a highlight itself for a highlight state, similar to how a block has a blockstate json and a model json.
