Decorate a Long Wall or Hallway with Landscape Paintings
Identify Your Space
Long walls in hallways, above storage rows, or behind furniture are perfect for landscape paintings. Measure the total width available—this determines whether you'll use 2×1, 4×2, or 4×3 horizontal pieces, or combine multiple smaller paintings.
Arrange Horizontal Paintings
For a continuous look, place wide paintings end-to-end along the wall. A 4×3 painting spans most hallway widths. If your wall is longer, use multiple 4×2 or 4×3 pieces with minimal gaps. Alternatively, create a repeating pattern with 2×1 paintings for a more modular aesthetic.
Height and Positioning
Position paintings at eye level (roughly 5–6 blocks up from the floor) for comfortable viewing. In hallways, keep them high enough that players moving through don't collide with them. Leave the space below clear for pathways or decorative blocks.
Complement With Lighting
Add lanterns, candles, or wall-mounted light sources beside or below paintings to draw attention and create atmosphere. This transforms a plain corridor into an immersive gallery experience.
