Configuring the Mod's Options for Your Playstyle

The Two Key Settings

This mod exposes a small set of configurable options that let you tailor how the hidden recipe book behaves. The two most important are:

• shouldHideRecipeBook — determines whether the book is hidden by default when you first launch.
• allowRecipeBookToggleHotkey — determines whether the toggle hotkey is active at all.

Choosing Your Combination

Think about how you want to play, then set the options to match:

1. Fully hidden, no toggle: hide by default and disable the hotkey. The book never appears.

2. Hidden but recoverable: hide by default and keep the hotkey enabled. The book stays away until you press the key.

3. Visible but dismissible: leave the book shown by default and use the hotkey to hide it when it gets in the way.

After editing the config file, save it and restart the game so the values load. If a change seems to have no effect, double-check that you edited the correct config file and that the mod is actually enabled. These options are independent, so you can mix them freely to get exactly the recipe book behavior you want without touching anything else in the game.
