Protect Your First Container

Automatic Protection

When you place a new chest, furnace, barrel, or other container, Hey That's Mine automatically sets it to private. This means only you can access it by default—no other player can open it, even on a public server.

Verify Your Container is Protected

Right-click your container to open it normally. If protection is working, other players will see a locked message when they try to interact with it. You'll see no special interface—the mod works silently in the background.

Access Your Own Container

As the owner, you can always open and use your containers without restriction. Place containers wherever you build, and they remain yours automatically.

Unprotect a Container (Optional)

If you want a container to be public, you can change its status through the mod's interface (usually by sneaking and right-clicking, or via a command—check your server's configuration). Once unprotected, any player can access it.
