Hey That’s Mine Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Why is my container locked when I just placed it?
All new containers are automatically set to private by default for security. This means only you can access it until you explicitly change its status or trust other players.
How do I let my friend access my chest?
Right-click your container and select the trust option, then add your friend's username to the trusted players list. They'll now be able to open and interact with that container.
Can I make a container public so anyone can use it?
Yes, you can change a container's status from private to public through the container's interface, allowing any player on the server to access it without being added to a trust list.
What happens if I break my own locked container?
You can break your own containers normally and will receive the drops. Only other players are prevented from breaking containers they don't have access to.
Do I need to set up permissions or can players just use it?
The mod works immediately after installation with no setup required—all containers are automatically protected. Server admins can optionally configure permissions using the luckperms API if they want custom access rules.
Can I remove someone from my container's trust list?
Yes, open your container's interface and remove the player from the trusted players list to revoke their access immediately.
Does this mod work on single-player worlds?
Yes, the mod functions on single-player, though the trust system is most useful on multiplayer servers where you're playing with other people.
What containers does this mod protect?
The mod protects standard containers like chests, barrels, and similar storage blocks. Check your server's mod configuration or the relevant guide for a complete list of supported container types.
If I trust someone with one container, do they get access to all my containers?
No, trust is set per-container. You must individually add players to each container you want them to access.
Does this mod cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is serverside and designed to be lightweight, but performance impact depends on your server's hardware and the number of protected containers. If you experience issues, check the troubleshooting guide or consult your server administrator.
