How to Reduce Tooltip Clutter and Fix Overlapping Text

Once you enable everything, the tooltip can grow tall enough to cover your view or overlap other HUD elements. Trimming it is a config job, not a mod-removal job.

Disable lines you do not use

Go through the config's line list and set unused entries to disabled. Common candidates: durability on items you never enchant, rocket duration if you do not fly, shulker contents if you keep boxes sorted. Each disabled line removes one row from the tooltip.

Cap the number of lines

Most configs include a maximum-lines or maximum-entries setting. Lower it so the tooltip never exceeds a height you are comfortable with. This is especially useful for shulker boxes, which can otherwise list many items.

Adjust position and scale

Look for position or offset options — you can often nudge the tooltip up or down so it clears your health, hunger, and experience bars. Some setups also expose a scale or font-size value; reducing it shrinks the whole tooltip without removing information. If text still overlaps, the cause is usually two lines rendering at the same offset, which happens when a line is enabled twice in the config. Remove the duplicate entry.

Save, restart, and hold a few different items to confirm the layout holds up across potions, tools, and boxes.
