How to Make Shulker Box Contents Show Above Your Hotbar

Shulker box preview is one of the most useful things this mod adds: instead of placing a box and opening it, you hold it and read its contents directly above the hotbar.

Enabling the shulker line

Open the mod's config file in your config folder. Find the section that lists tooltip lines and locate the shulker box entry. Make sure it is set to enabled (the toggle is usually true). If you previously turned it off to reduce clutter, this is the switch to flip back.

Choosing how much is shown

Many setups let you cap how many item lines appear before the tooltip is truncated, so a full box does not push the tooltip off the top of the screen. Look for a maximum-lines or maximum-entries option near the shulker setting and lower it if the tooltip gets too tall. You can also decide whether the box's custom name is shown alongside the contents.

Reading it in game

Hold the shulker box in your main hand. The contents appear as a list of item names (and counts, if enabled) above the hotbar. Empty boxes show nothing or a placeholder, depending on your config. If you see the box name but no items, the contents line is disabled separately from the name line — check both. Restart after editing the config for changes to apply.
