Holding a Shulker Box, Bundle, or Bee Nest shows a summary of what is inside it, so you can identify a box without placing it down. This is the fastest way to sort a wall of identical-looking shulker boxes after a mining trip.

Practical Workflow

• Pick up each Shulker Box in turn and read the overlay to see the stored items; set aside the ones containing valuables and place the rest in storage.
• For Bundles, the overlay reveals the mixed contents, which helps you confirm you packed food, torches, and blocks before a trip.
• For Bee Nests, the display reports the number of bees inside. Use this before harvesting honey so you do not accidentally break a nest full of bees.

Tips for Sorting

Because the preview only triggers for the held item, hold each container briefly and rotate through them one at a time. Combine this with naming your shulker boxes in an anvil — the overlay shows the custom name alongside the contents, giving you two identifiers at once. If a container's contents look wrong, double-check you are holding the right box and not a similarly named one.
