How to Check Firework, Crossbow, and Music Disc Details Before Using Them

Why Preview These Items

Fireworks, Crossbows, Music Discs, Goat Horns, and similar items carry hidden data that normally requires hovering in the inventory. The mod surfaces that data on the HUD while the item is held, letting you verify it mid-action.

Fireworks

Hold a rocket and read the overlay to see its flight duration, shape, and colors. This matters when you rely on elytra boosts — a short-flight rocket will not carry you far, and the overlay tells you which stack to grab before you launch.

Crossbows

A held Crossbow shows whether it is loaded and what ammunition or enchantments it carries. Check this before a fight so you are not firing an empty crossbow.

Music Discs and Goat Horns

Holding a Music Disc reveals which track it is, so you can pick the right one for a jukebox without trial and error. Goat Horns display their variant, letting you choose the correct sound for a build or prank.

General Habit

Cycle each candidate item through your hand and read the overlay, then commit the good ones to a chest or hotbar slot. This avoids opening the inventory repeatedly during builds or battles.
