How to Use Campfires as a Mobile or Temporary Healing Station
Campfires are portable healing
Because the healing comes from the campfire block itself, you can carry campfires with you and drop one down whenever you need regeneration. This makes them excellent for exploration, mining trips, and boss fights where you want a safe spot to recover. Place a campfire, stand in its radius, and let the Regeneration effect refill your health.
Set up a forward camp
When you are far from home, place a campfire at your mining base or temporary shelter. Put it somewhere you can retreat to when your health is low. Since the effect works on passive mobs too, you can also park tamed animals near it to keep them healthy while you are away. If you are playing with friends, a single campfire heals everyone standing in range, so it doubles as a shared recovery point.
Combine with other safety measures
A campfire heals but does not protect you, so pair it with walls, torches, or a door to keep monsters out while you recover. Remember that hostile mobs are not healed by the campfire, so you cannot rely on it to keep attackers alive or to heal a mob farm's monsters. For a temporary station, carry a stack of campfires and place a new one whenever you move camp. Pick them back up when you leave so you are not leaving lit blocks scattered across the world.
