How to Set Up a Healing Campfire Base (So You Actually Get the Regeneration)

Place the campfire and stand inside the radius

Craft or obtain a campfire (regular or soul — both work) and place it where you want your healing zone. The mod creates a spherical area around the campfire, and any player or passive mob inside that radius receives the Regeneration effect. The default radius is 16 blocks, so you have a generous area to work with. Stand near the campfire and watch your health bar — you should see the Regeneration icon appear.

Make it a usable base

A single campfire in the open is fine, but for a real base you want the healing to cover where you actually spend time. Build your crafting area, bed, and storage within the radius rather than at the edge. If you have a large base, place multiple campfires so their healing zones overlap and cover the whole floor plan. Remember the effect only applies while you are inside the radius, so stepping outside stops the healing.

Check that it is working

Take some damage (fall a short distance or let a mob hit you once) and stand still near the campfire. If your health regenerates without you eating, the setup is correct. If nothing happens, confirm you are within range and that the campfire is lit — an unlit campfire will not heal you. Soul campfires behave the same as regular ones for healing purposes, so pick whichever fits your build's aesthetic.
