Fixing Weather Effects That Stop Working Above the Clouds
Symptom: Rain Mechanics Fail Up High
If riptide tridents, fire extinguishing, or rain-fed crop growth suddenly stop working at a certain altitude, the mod is doing its job. It treats everything at and above the
configured cloud height as clear weather. The fix is either to move below that height or to change the config value.
Check the Config Height
1. Open the mod's config file and read the stored cloud height value.
2. Compare it to the altitude where your mechanics break. If they break lower than expected, the config value is set too low.
3. Raise the value so the clear-weather zone starts higher, or lower it to bring the effect down.
4. Restart the game or server and retest.
Server vs Single-Player
On a server, only the server's config matters. If your single-player setup works but the server does not, the server's cloud height is different. Ask the admin to align it with the visible cloud layer. If mechanics work below but not above, that is intended behavior, not a bug, so adjust your build height or the config rather than reporting it.
