Pick Up and Transport a Chest

Requirements

Before you can haul a chest, make sure both your main hand and off-hand are completely empty. Any item—even a single block—will prevent the pickup.

How to Haul

1. Stand directly next to the chest you want to move

2. Hold Sneak (default: Shift)

3. While sneaking, right-click on the chest with your empty hands

4. The chest will vanish and appear in your inventory as a single item

After Pickup

Once you're carrying the chest, you'll receive the Slowness effect—movement speed is reduced. This is intentional and represents the weight of the block. You can still move and jump normally with one chest.

Placing It Down

Walk to your desired location and place the chest like any other block. It will retain all items that were inside it.
