Choose Your Speed Boost Item

Different foods give different speed multipliers. Dragon's breath provides the highest speed boost, followed by honey, then sugar. Pick based on what you have available and how far you need to travel.

Feed Your Ghast Efficiently

1. Hold your chosen speed item (sugar, honey, or dragon's breath) in your hand

2. Right-click your ghast while it's on the ground to feed it

3. Alternatively, if you're already riding, use the item in your hand to feed while mounted

4. The speed boost lasts 20 seconds

Chain Boosts for Continuous Speed

Listen for the sound effect that plays when the speed boost expires. This audio cue tells you exactly when to feed your ghast again. Have a stack of your chosen food ready so you can quickly feed it again without slowing down. This lets you maintain high speed across long distances by timing your feeds to the audio signal.

Keep multiple types of speed food in your inventory. Use dragon's breath for critical speed needs, honey for moderate boosts, and sugar as a backup when other options run low.
