How to Hand an Item to Another Player

The Basic Handover

Make sure the item stack you want to give away is in your main hand (the slot your character holds in the default right-hand position). Offhand items are not transferred by this mod, so swap the stack into your main hand first.

Walk up to the other player until you are close enough to interact, then sneak and right-click them. By default the mod requires sneaking (mustCrouchToGiveItem is on), so a plain right-click will not trigger a handover. If you right-click without sneaking, nothing happens.

What Happens on Transfer

The entire stack in your main hand moves into the recipient's inventory if there is room. You do not need to open any GUI, and nothing is tossed on the ground.

If the recipient's inventory is full, the items are dropped at their feet, not yours, so the recipient can still pick them up. Both of you get a chat message confirming the transfer when the message settings are enabled.

• Standing within interaction range of the target player
• Holding sneak while right-clicking
