Set Up Custom GUI Scale Rules for Your Monitor

Access Custom Mode Settings

Open your mod configuration menu through ModMenu. Navigate to GUI Scaler Mod settings and select the CUSTOM mode option. This lets you define exactly how large your menus should be at different window sizes.

Create Your Scale Rules

Custom mode works by linking specific window widths to GUI scale values. For example, you might set:

  • Small windows (below a certain width) → smaller scale
  • Medium windows → medium scale
  • Large windows or fullscreen → larger scale

Enter your preferred window width thresholds and corresponding scale values. The mod will automatically apply the correct scale whenever your game window matches those dimensions.

Test Your Settings

Resize your game window or toggle fullscreen to verify the scales apply correctly. If menus appear too large or too small, adjust your threshold values and scale numbers until you find the perfect balance for readability on your specific monitor.

Your custom rules will persist across game sessions, so you only need to configure this once.
