Restore Default GUI Elements Not Covered by the Pack

Understanding Coverage Gaps

GUI Retextures focuses on core menus and screens, but some mod-added interfaces or niche vanilla screens may not receive custom textures. These will display with default Minecraft textures.

Identifying Uncovered Elements

1. Open various screens: inventory, crafting table, furnace, enchanting table, anvil, and any mod-specific GUIs

2. Note which screens look inconsistent or use the default style

3. Check the resource pack's documentation to confirm whether coverage is intentional

Workarounds

  • Use complementary packs: Pair GUI Retextures with a secondary resource pack that covers remaining elements
  • Disable the pack selectively: If specific screens look worse with the pack, temporarily disable it for those interactions
  • Accept mixed styling: Many players find a blend of retextured and default elements acceptable

Reporting Gaps

If you discover a vanilla screen that should be covered but isn't, check the pack's issue tracker or community forum. Developers may add coverage in future updates based on player feedback.
