Fix Overlapping or Misaligned GUI Elements

Identifying Compatibility Issues

Occasionally, GUI Retextures may conflict with other mods or resource packs, causing buttons, text, or inventory slots to overlap or shift position.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Check resource pack order: In your launcher, ensure GUI Retextures is positioned above conflicting packs in the list (higher = higher priority)

2. Disable conflicting packs: Temporarily disable other GUI or HUD resource packs to isolate the issue

3. Reload textures: Press F3 + T to reload all resource packs without restarting

4. Verify mod compatibility: Some mods add custom screens that GUI Retextures may not cover—these will retain default textures

5. Clear cache: Delete the shader cache and resource pack cache folders, then reload

When Elements Still Don't Align

If misalignment persists after reloading, the issue likely stems from a mod adding UI elements that GUI Retextures doesn't retexture. This is normal behavior. Consider reporting specific incompatibilities if they significantly impact usability.
